Create social signals live poll templates
Social signals polling shows subscribers how many other people have selected an item, followed a link, or interacted with your email content. A subscriber can see those numbers change every time they come back to your email. Social signals polls can provide a cumulative total for all links in an email or individual totals for each link. Add your social signals template to a new polling campaign and watch the reactions roll in!

Cumulative social signals
The cumulative social signals poll provides a total for multiple links, for example to show all the clicks for every link in a newsletter combined. Include up to 10 links for best performance.
Create your cumulative polling template
Choose Templates in the top menu and then the Polling tab. Select the New Template link on the right.
Add a name in the Description field. Be sure to check the High resolution checkbox.
NOTE: A previous checkbox for Anti-alias is no longer in the template builder. Please disregard it in any images below.
Customize the background size and color or make it transparent by selecting the blank canvas and using the tools in the right side Inspector pane.
Your template has the first answer choice available by default. For cumulative polling, you only need one!
Add your voting content source
Select Content Source from the three options, then expand each option in the content source tree to find totalVotes for a cumulative click count.
Customize appearance and context
Your poll template will show a vote total number with no additional information by default. Add a prefix or suffix for additional context, for example if you want to create a banner. With the polling block selected, choose the Text tab on the right side Inspector pane and include additional text in the prefix and suffix boxes. Remember to include a blank space at the end of a prefix or at the beginning of a suffix to create a seamless sentence appearance.
If you expect to gather a large number of responses, under Format, change Type to Numeric and Input to the comma formatted thousands option. Select No decimal in the Output option.
You can also customize the font face, style, size, alignment, and color for your answer option.
Your cumulative social signals polling template is ready to use in a polling campaign!
Individual social signals polling
Create your individual polling template
Name the template and select the Anti-Alias and High-Resolution checkboxes to make sure your image looks its best! Customize the background size and color or make it transparent by selecting the blank canvas and using the tools in the right side Inspector pane.
Your first block defaults to your template's first answer choice available.
NOTE: Complete your first answer option before adding any others. The first option you set up will be the template for all the remaining answer choices. All formatting and setup choices will be copied to every other answer you add, saving you editing time!
Add your voting content source
Select the Content source icon on the right of your content block. In the modal, choose the Content source radio button from the three options, then expand each option in the content source tree to find Votes for individual click counts for your answer block.
Add more polling options
Use the + icon next to Answer 1 to add more answer options. We strongly recommend no more than 10 total answer options for your email's best performance.
Customize appearance and context
Your individual social signals polling template is ready to use in a polling campaign!
